This introductory course provides the minimum training required by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education in order to work as a child daycare worker. The curriculum emphasizes on the content and best practices in three core areas: child guidance; play and exploration; and health, safety and nutrition. This recently revised course is based on the Ministry’s new Play and Exploration Early Learning Program, the curriculum framework used for all childhood programs in the province. This course is a combination of face-to-face and home study. |

Also known as maintenance mechanics, millwrights, or machine repairmen, industrial mechanics are employed in commercial or industrial operations that use machinery. This course will assist students preparing to write the Department of Municipal Government Protection Services Boiler and Pressure Vessel Unit Fireman's Certificate. This program is appropriate for persons working as building operators in manufacturing processes dealing with steam or hot water boilers. Topics include lower pressure heat boilers, fuel and firing equipment, automatic controls, jumps, piping fittings, valves, steam and hot water heating, ventilation, basic electricity, and the Boiler & Pressure Vessel Act. |
