Students unable to attend or ineligible for in-class ESL may be matched with a member of their community to learn and practice English skills for two hours per week at home. Tutors are trained and provided with materials and support. |

Description: |
Learn to speak, read, write and understand English as a Subsequent Language through independent study online or with print correspondence. Weekly commitment must include 5 -10 hours of independent study doing selected assignments and a 30-minute telephone class. Clients with Permanent Resident status and intermediate skills (CLB 3 - 7) can advance with structured practice designed and selected by a qualified ESL Instructor. Eligibility criteria do apply. |
