Description of the Award

This scholarship was created to support CTRC students in their pursuit of education and training and to recognize the academic and program achievements of CTRC students.  This scholarship is made possible through the contributions of CTRC staff and the Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration who have matched contributions through the Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity Scholarship Program.

Type of Award

Merit-Based – as determined by program achievement and attendance in class.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to students who are/were enrolled in a full-time CTRC program between:   July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013, in a program of 4 MONTHS or longer.

1 - Welding Applied Certificate (Humboldt)

1 - Electrician (Watrous)

1 - Industrial Mechanics ( Humboldt)

1 - Practical Nursing (Watrous - Semester 4)

1 - Continuing Care Assistant ( Humboldt)

1 -  Continuing Care Assistant ( Wakaw)

1 -  Continuing Care Assistant ( Raymore)

1 -  Office Education (Humboldt)

1 - Primary Care Paramedic (Humboldt)

Selection Criteria

·         Applicant must have been enrolled in or are currently enrolled in a full-time CTRC program of 4 months or longer between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.

·         Instructors in each of the programs are to nominate one student based on the following criteria:

o   Marks achieved at nomination deadline date 80% 

o   Attendance 20%

Because each program has different program end and celebration dates, instructors should submit nominations at least 1 week prior to end of program or graduation ceremony.

Award Presentation

The award will be presented at the program end celebration (graduation).
