Basic Education Programs

These programs allow adult students to complete Grade 10 or 12 levels or to upgrade previously completed secondary-level subjects. Students enrolled full-time in BE may be eligible for the Provincial Training Allowance program .

GED Examinations

Carlton Trail Regional College administers this set of five examinations at several locations throughout the region. Upon successful completion of the examinations (Language Arts-Reading, Language Arts-Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science), the student gains GED Certificate standing, which may be a requirement of an employer or meet an entrance prerequisite to selected post-secondary training programs.
